Transportation and logistics service provider TTS L.L.C. recently named Union Pacific Railroad its 2010 Rail Carrier of the Year. The award recognizes the Class I’s “consistent attention” to customer service and on-time delivery for the intermodal business it handles for TTS, UP officials said in a prepared statement.

“Our strong, innovative business relationship with TTS spans more than half a decade, and we will continue to grow our mutual efforts by seeking out new ways to strengthen our intermodal services,” said Brian McDonald, UP vice president of sales-intermodal.

The Class I was among four carriers that received recognition from TTS in various categories. Recipients were selected based on “dedication to bringing creative solutions to TTS and helping grow its customer base through exceptional service,” according to UP, which moves consumer and manufactured goods, and dairy products for the service provider.
