Union Pacific Railroad yesterday announced it distributed more than $4 million in grants to 430 nonprofit organizations in 23 states through the Class I's annual Community Ties Giving Program.
The grants, which ranged in value from $5,000 to $30,000, are awarded to support safety, workforce development, community vitality and environmental sustainability initiatives, UP officials said.
