Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) members recently adopted a resolution pledging the union's "unwavering support for two-person train crews," according to a press release. The resolution was adopted last week during the union's Third National Convention in Las Vegas.

The resolution was adopted in part as a show of support to Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad (WLE) workers, who have been fighting one-man crew policies for several years and went on strike over the issue in 2013, according to BLET. The pact also calls upon all BLET members and railroad workers to provide support as necessary to the WLE workers in the coming months and years.

After passage of the resolution, the BLET's Pennsylvania State Legislative Board pledged $500 to the cause.
