OmniTRAX Inc. has launched its Rail-Ready Sites development program at the Georgia Woodlands Railroad (GWRC) in Washington, Georgia.

OmniTRAX and Washington city officials are initially marketing three rail-served sites on the GWRC, ranging from 19 to 59 acres, that can be combined into one site totaling 128 acres that are ready for industrial development, OmniTRAX officials said in a press release.

The GWRC interchanges with CSX in Barnett, Georgia, and provides shippers with regional logistics services, including bulk transfer-distribution and rail-car storage.

Washington offers a "great location" for a variety of companies, particularly those related to the timber industry, said Justin Strickland, OmniTRAX's industrial development director.
