Tri-City & Olympia tabs Samples as business development director (2/11/2005)

Tri-City & Olympia Railroad Co. (TCRY) recently named David Samples director of business development. He will be responsible for growing the 17-mile short line's business, including the expansion of government transportation-related services.

Samples most recently performed corporate management duties for clients in the United States, Canada, Australia and South Korea. He previously served the U.S. Department of Energy and other federal agencies in various capacities. Samples currently serves as the Washington state honorary chair for the National Republican Congressional Committee's business advisory council.

Established in 2000, TCRY provides transportation, industrial switching, freight storage, rail-car repair and transloading services between western and eastern Washington, and interchanges with BNSF Railway Co. and Union Pacific Railroad.
