Todd Tranausky, vice president of rail and intermodal at FTR Transportation Intelligence, on Nov. 29 sat down for an interview with RailPrime Senior Associate Editor Julie Sneider. The conversation took place as President Biden was meeting with congressional leaders to address concerns over the potential for a national rail strike.
Tranausky described what a strike would mean for the railroads, their shippers and the overall economy. He also provided a look back at rail carload and intermodal volume trends in 2022 and what might be ahead for the rail industry in 2023.
