Amtrak is now operating a Thruway bus service in West Virginia for riders to connect to the Cardinal rail service that runs between New York City and Chicago, the railroad announced yesterday.

The bus service connection is aimed at providing "convenient and affordable" service to Charleston for riders in Morgantown, Fairmont, Clarksburg/Bridgeport, Weston, Sutton/Flatwoods and Clendenin, according to an Amtrak press release.

Baron's Bus Lines provides transportation to the West Virginia towns. The Cardinal operates between New York City and Chicago three days a week.
