Amtrak-bus connections expand access in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee

Additional communities in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee are now connected to Amtrak trains in Chicago and Indianapolis via buses operated by Greyhound Lines.
Passengers and businesses in Nashville, Tenn., and Gary, Ind., now have easier access to Amtrak's national network. Passengers traveling between Indianapolis and points north to Chicago have more schedule choices via Amtrak's Cardinal and Hoosier State trains in one direction and the option of returning by bus, according to an Amtrak press release.
The service expansion is an example of the growing business relationship between Amtrak and Greyhound, which led the motor coach operator to open a ticket office at Chicago's Union Station, Amtrak officials said.
