Amtrak has made available a route-information podcast for riders to download on the Texas Eagle service between Chicago and San Antonio, Texas.
The podcast will provide an “interpretive tour of the route’s history, stops and highlights,” Amtrak officials said in a prepared statement. Amtrak, the National Park Service and Texas A&M University Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences worked together on the podcast, which is available at AmtrakRailGuide.com.
Covering 27 station stops and 103 points of interest on the 1,300-mile Texas Eagle route, the podcast is the second addition to what will become a “library of podcasts” for Amtrak riders, said Harris Cohen, Amtrak’s project manager of customer solutions.
