BNSF Railway Co. recently entered into a 20-year lease agreement with CMC Industries at Gulf Inland Logistics Park in Dayton, Texas.Running through 2034, the lease involves CMC’s storage-in-transit rail facility and includes two five-year extension options. The facility, which stores and switches rail cars, supports the area’s fast-growing petrochemical industry, CMC officials said in a press release.Served by BNSF and Union Pacific Railroad, Gulf Inland Logistics Park has direct access to U.S. Highway 90 and Highway 146, and is ideally located for industrial, logistics and manufacturing businesses, they said. CMC is the developer and on-site manager of the park and CMC Railroad."The long-term commitment from BNSF allows [us] to accelerate the development of Gulf Inland Logistics Park into a world-class intermodal hub," said CMC President Marcus Goering. "We look forward to further capitalizing on the strong demand for rail-served facilities in the Gulf transportation network."
