Lodestar Energy Group is developing a rail-served natural gas liquids (NGL) facility and rail-car storage yard at the Gulf Inland Logistics Park near Dayton, Texas, the company announced yesterday.Scheduled to open in second-quarter 2018, the facility will be served by BNSF Railway Co. and Union Pacific Railroad, Lodestar officials said in a press release. The facility will receive and ship purity products such as propane and butane, as well as mixed streams. The site also will include storage and have pipeline access to the industrial complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Truck loading and unloading in addition to chemical processing and handling capabilities are included in the site's master plan, company officials said."This is the perfect time to open both an NGL rail facility and an independent rail car storage facility due to the unprecedented growth in the energy and petrochemical markets," said Lodestar President Brad Howell.
