BNSF Railway Co. last week awarded a grant to the Invictus Foundation to support the nonprofit’s efforts to raise awareness of the psychological impact of war and provide counseling services for military members, veterans and their families.
The grant amount was not disclosed in a press release.
The foundation will use the grant to advance its Welcome Home Network of licensed volunteer behavioral health professionals who offer no-cost critical and confidential support for military members and their families, Invictus Foundation officials said.
The grant also will allow the nonprofit to move into the planning and development phase of its planned Psychological Health Center in the Puget Sound Basin in Washington.
