The first BNSF Railway Co. train departed last week from a private intermodal facility that recently became operational at the Class I's logistics center in Hudson, Colorado.

In a social media post, BNSF officials noted the train’s launch from the facility last week. With the opening of the facility, BNSF is prepared to provide direct service between the Southern California ports and central Colorado to support customers interested in serving the Denver market, they said. The facility was developed through a collaboration among BNSF, U.S. Rail and Logistics and ConGlobal.

Logistics Center Hudson is located on 430 acres with access to Interstate 76 and the BNSF mainline. BNSF logistics centers offer direct rail service in multi-customer and multi-commodity business parks.

Meanwhile, BNSF last week was named among "America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024" by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. The list features large and mid-size companies that were examined through public data, interviews and anonymous surveys by employees, who shared their insights into corporate culture and working environments.
