BNSF named Tyson's 'carrier of the year'

BNSF Railway Co. was recently recognized by Tyson Foods as "Carrier of the Year" for the Class I's dedication to customer service, communication, safety and innovation.

The award was announced Oct. 30 at Tyson’s annual Carrier Conference and was presented at BNSF's headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

BNSF's commitment to fostering collaboration has been instrumental in helping both companies grow together in volume and service, said Ryan Heman, Tyson Foods' senior director of global transportation procurement, in a press release.

“BNSF is proud of the success we have built together with Tyson over the years and hope to continue to grow together in serving our customers,” said Tom Williams, BNSF's executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
