Global Rail Systems Inc. recently appointed former RailAmerica Inc. SVP Thomas Schlosser chief executive officer and Brad Taylor, chief financial officer.

Schlosser previously served as senior vice president of operations for RailAmerica and president of ParkSierra Rail Group, which RailAmerica acquired in 2001. He also will become a Global Rail board member along with former ParkSierra Chairman Dave Parkinson.

An original investor in Global Rail — which was founded in 2002 — Taylor represented the company during an investment transaction.

Global Rail also announced Ron Martin will assume responsibility for the company’s long-term strategic growth plan. He will continue to serve as VP of sales and marketing.

Global Rail markets wireless railway automation systems — including ones designed for planned meets and train passes in dark territory, and remote-control switch, derail and blue flag applications — to Class Is and short lines.
