Montana DOT solicits public input on crossing project

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is seeking public comments on a proposal to upgrade signals and surfaces at the South 72nd Street grade crossing near Laurel.
The proposed project calls for replacing the existing crossing signal with updated electronics and hardware, and replacing the existing crossing surface with new concrete surface materials. Work is tentatively scheduled to start in summer.
MDT and Montana Rail Link will share project costs, and the railroad will perform the installation work.
