Norfolk Southern Corp. recently named Raymond Rumsey assistant vice president of communications and signals to succeed Gerry Sniffen, who retired earlier this year. Rumsey will assume the post Aug. 16.
Rumsey most recently served as chief engineer of line maintenance, Eastern Region-MW&S. He previously served as chief engineer-program maintenance and chief engineer-maintenance services. Prior to NS, Rumsey spent more than 19 years at Conrail in various capacities, including chief engineer-roadway assets, district superintendent of transportation and division engineer.
