North Carolina DOT schedules workshop on Charlotte crossing alternatives
advertisement
The North Carolina Department of Transportation’s (NCDOT) Rail Division plans to conduct a public informational workshop June 7 in Charlotte to review alternatives for three grade crossings in West Charlotte.
NCDOT and division representatives will answer questions and solicit comments to help develop recommendations for improving the crossings. Recommendations from a completed study include keeping all three crossings open in the short term, and closing the crossings — depending on the implementation of future local and state projects, which currently aren’t funded — in the long term.
The meeting is the second workshop regarding project recommendations for the three crossings. NCDOT previously conducted a workshop in February.
