Ohio utilities commission OKs crossing upgrades

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio last week approved construction authorization from the Ohio Rail Development Commission directing the Indiana & Ohio Railway to upgrade warning devices at a grade crossing in Lancaster.
The railroad will install mast-mounted flashing lights and roadway gates at the South Maple Street crossing.
The upgrades must be completed by Dec. 6. Federal dollars will cover the project's funding.
