RailComm recently placed in service a wireless yard automation system for Formosa Plastics Corp.'s Marshall Yard II industrial switching operation in Point Comfort, Texas.
The system provides remote-control capability for power switches from a centrally located push-button control panel, which provides control of individual switches and entrance-exit routing functions.
Designed to be expanded for future automation needs, the system reduces the time needed to align routes for car switching, RailComm said.
