Staten Island Railway upgrades signal system

MTA New York City Transit’s Staten Island Railway recently installed Behlman Electronics Inc. 100 Hz signal sources to replace rotary generators at 17 stations.

The BL5100C-8-RR100 signal source/frequency converters feature input filtering, output transformer isolation, surge suppression, external sync and alarms.

The railway previously used a Behlman signal source to test signaling components and track sections. Now, the road has redesigned its existing signal system with Behlman signal sources at all stations.
