Wabtec Railway Electronics Ltd. and March Networks Corp. recently partnered to produce and market VideoTrax™, a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) designed for freight locomotives.
Based on March Networks’ mobile DVR system, VideoTrax can integrate data from Wabtec’s locomotive event recorders. The DVR features multiple camera and audio options, data analysis functions and playback tools.
“We feel VideoTrax will give our customers the video and audio data they need to more thoroughly investigate grade-crossing accidents,” said Robert Haag, Wabtec Railway vice president of programs, in a prepared statement.
