Wireless Matrix Corp. recently announced that RailCrewXpress will deploy the company's Web-based FleetOutlook software in 550 U.S. fleet vehicles.
Delivered in partnership with MobileDataforce and Psion Teklogix, FleetOutlook will enable RailCrewXpress to record the location and transportation activity of the company's vehicle fleet in real time. A Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solution, FleetOutlook offers features such as vehicle mapping, tracking and operational reporting to XML data export and optional telematics monitoring.
RailCrewXpress supports Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF Railway Co. and other Class Is, providing crew pick-ups, transport to and from trains, and in-yard crew transport.
Wireless Matrix also will provide FleetOutlook XML data services to participating RailCrewXpress customers.
"We selected FleetOutlook based on its track record of success, ease of implementation and full interoperability," said Scott Boyes, president and chief executive officer of RailCrewXpress, in a prepared statement.
