CN named Evergreen Shipping's 'railroad of the year'

Evergreen Shipping Agency (America) Corp. has selected CN as its 2015 "Railroad Company of the Year" in recognition of the Class I's consistent level of high performance to customers.

Evergreen selected CN because of its "excellent professional service to our shared customers … and consistent level of performance as a transportation provider," said Evergreen Shipping Agency President Roy Amalfitano in a press release.

This is the second consecutive year CN has received the award.

Evergreen Shipping serves as the North American general agent for Evergreen Line, a global ocean carrier that serves all continents with container ships. The company operates more than 150 container ships calling on 240 ports worldwide in about 80 countries.

Evergreen Line discharges and loads containers for CN at the Port of Vancouver. CN hauls Evergreen Line traffic between the port and Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg.
