Foote to leave CN
advertisement
On Friday, CN announced that Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing James Foote had decided to leave the railroad.
A 35-year rail industry vet, Foote joined CN in 1995 as VP of investor relations after holding several management positions with the Chicago and North Western Railroad.
“Jim has been a key player at CN since the company’s privatization,” said CN President and Chief Executive Officer E. Hunter Harrison in a prepared statement. “Since 2000, Jim has been responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the company’s sales and marketing group and made tremendous contributions to CN over the years.”
Senior VP of Marketing Jean-Jacques Ruest and Senior VP of Sales and Stan Jablonski — and the sales and marketing organization as a whole — will report directly to Harrison until year end, after which they’ll report to incoming CEO Claude Mongeau.
