Canadian Pacific and Vectora Transportation L.L.C. are displaying two loaded 89-foot wind tower flat cars at the Canadian Wind Energy Association 2010 Annual Conference and Exhibition, which is being held Nov. 1-3 in Montreal, Quebec.
Featuring specialized cradles designed for wind towers, the cars have been entered into service by CP as part of a dedicated wind market equipment fleet.
“Special purpose rail cars like these are allowing us to load and transport more components in a shorter timeframe,” said Roberto Holz, Vectora Transportation’s director of global business development, in a prepared statement.
