Canadian Pacific has submitted its 2021–2022 Winter Contingency Plan Report to the Canadian government as required by the Canada Transportation Act.

The report details CP’s plans to operate safely and efficiently when it encounters winter weather conditions during the upcoming 2021–2022 season.

It includes a description of the Class I's initiatives and investments aimed at mitigating the impact of winter weather on operations and improving winter operating performance.

The report also includes forecasting and predictive winter modeling; winter readiness planning across the network to help prepare for adverse winter conditions; collaboration and cooperation efforts with external organizations, including customers and government agencies; and the 2021 capital expenditure plan and capacity-enhancing projects.
