Canadian Pacific has named Pham Xuan Hang its first representative in Southeast Asia. She will be located in Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam, where CP has opened a new office.
Pham has 18 years of experience in transportation logistics, buyer's consolidation and heavy project cargo movements.
"Her extensive knowledge of moving freight will benefit importers and exporters, providing expert solutions and access to CP's new, faster transcontinental service intermodal service, connecting Vancouver to markets in Toronto or Chicago," CP officials said in a prepared statement.
The office opening in Vietnam and Pham appointment are part of CP's efforts to expand logistics service to better serve Asian markets, which the Class I has serviced for more than 45 years. CP now maintains offices in Vietnam, Japan and China.
With a population of 84 million people, Vietnam is one of Asia's fastest-growing economies, according to CP.
