CPKC, KC Streetcar Authority launch holiday streetcar service

Canadian Pacific Kansas City partnered with the Kansas City Streetcar Authority to bring a decorated Holiday KC Streetcar to the city for the season. The holiday-themed streetcar began transporting riders on Nov. 1. 

Developed by CPKC,  the design features holiday lights and snowy window scenes. CPKC’s partnership on the Holiday KC Streetcar further reinforces its commitment to Kansas City, Missouri, and the communities along its network, KC Streetcar Authority officials said in a press release.

The festive streetcar also celebrates the upcoming arrival of the official CPKC Holiday Train, which will make its stop at Union Station-Kansas City on Nov. 30. The CPKC Holiday Train show serves as a fundraiser for local food banks.

“Guests are encouraged to get to Union Station early to see the lit-up train prior to the show starting,” KC Streetcar Authority officials said. “The best way to get to Union Station to see the CPKC Holiday Train is by KC Streetcar.”

The Holiday KC Streetcar will also be home to the annual KC Streetcar Holiday Jam. The schedule for that event will be announced in mid-November.
