Five Class Is, five ports attain sustainability honors

Inbound Logistics magazine recently listed five Class Is and five ports among its top 75 “Green Supply Chain Partners” for their commitments to sustainability.
The Class Is honorees are BNSF Railway Co., CN, CSX Transportation, Norfolk Southern Railway and Union Pacific Railroad. The recognized ports/operators are the North Carolina State Ports Authority; South Carolina State Ports Authority/Port of Charleston; and ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach, Calif., and Tacoma, Wash.
The magazine also honored other companies in the trucking, ocean shipping, freight forwarding and air cargo sectors, including J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc., United Parcel Service and Schneider National Inc.
