North Carolina DOT schedules citizens' workshop for CSXT yard relocation plan

On June 14, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will conduct a citizens’ informational workshop regarding CSX Transportation’s proposed plan to relocate its yard from downtown Greenville to a site along the railroad’s line south of Staton Mill Road.
The project is designed to improve rail traffic movements and motorist safety through downtown Greenville.
During the workshop, residents will be able to speak individually with NCDOT officials about plans to close grade crossings and review maps of the proposed project. NCDOT officials will not conduct a formal presentation.
