CSX Corp. Short Line Development Manager Tony Giobbie will retire at year's end and be succeeded by Dave Scott, according to the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association.

A 39-year railroading veteran, Giobbie joined CSX in 1999. He previously served Conrail as a division customer service manager for nine years. In 2004, Giobbie joined the CSX Regional Development Group, then assumed his current position covering northeastern short lines in 2007, based in Mount Laurel, N.J.

Giobbie managed and improved the Class I's relationships with more than 75 short-line partners representing more than $400 million in annual revenue in a territory covering Virginia to New England, CSX officials said in a retirement notice.

Scott most recently was a member of CSX's chemicals-east sales team. He has 33 years of sales and business development experience with CSX and Sea-Land Corp.
