CSX’s "Pride in Service" initiative was awarded the gold award in the Engage for Good Halo Awards for best employee engagement initiative and the silver award for best direct service Initiative.
The awards recognize CSX’s partnership and support for the Wounded Warrior Project's (WWP) drone training program, CSX officials said in a news release. The program provides veterans with initial training to become certified FAA drone pilots and advanced training for warriors who are already certified. Warriors also receive hands-on experience at a CSX rail yard, getting an immersive look at how CSX uses drones.
Engage for Good helps business and nonprofit executives succeed by providing information and inspiration, opportunities to build relationships and recognition for work engaging employees and consumers around social good and cause-related marketing efforts.
WWP and CSX have placed more than a dozen warriors in CSX jobs since the inception of the partnership.
