The automotive transload facilities operated by CSX Total Distribution Services Inc. (TDSI) delivered "exceptional performance" in two recent destination quality reviews conducted by the Association of American Railroads, CSX announced this week.
The reviews are onsite evaluations of the facilities and operational procedures, focusing on aspects such as the placement of multilevel rail cars at the unloading ramp, vehicle unloading processes and baying practices.
During a review conducted Dec. 11, 2023, at the TDSI facility in Nashville, an overall score of 99.98% was achieved, CSX officials said in a press release. The score marked an improvement from the previous evaluation conducted in June 2022, where the facility scored 99.36%.
Similarly, during an evaluation conducted April 15 at the TDSI facility in Palm Center, Florida, the operation attained an overall score of 99.98%, maintaining standards set during a March 2022 audit, CSX officials said.
The average overall score for destination quality reviews stands at 96.97%, they said.
