CSX recently received two awards to recognize the company's support of the military community, the Class I announced yesterday.
CSX was included in the Military Times 2024 “Best for Vets” list and has been designated as a 2025 Military Friendly® Employer by Viqtory, a veteran-owned business.
The Military Times Best for Vets list is an annual ranking that highlights the efforts of employers with exemplary military-connected employment programs. The survey evaluates companies on their programs, benefits and ongoing support for recruiting and retaining veteran talent.
This year, CSX earned top spots on the Best for Vets list, emerging as the leading transportation company and the premier employer in Florida. The accolade underscores CSX’s commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment for veterans, CSX officials said in a press release.
CSX achieved a No. 2 ranking among large organizations on the 2025 Military Friendly® Employer list. The award recognizes companies that are devoted to advancing the careers of military service members and veterans.
Currently, 16% of CSX’s workforce comprises veterans and active-duty military personnel.
BNSF Railway Co. and Norfolk Southern Railway also earned Best for Vets and 2025 Military Friendly Employer awards.
