CSX earlier this month hosted its 32nd annual Short Line Conference, which attracted a record 350 participants.
Held in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, the conference served as a platform for the Class I and its 240 short-line and regional railroad partners to discuss collaborative operations and explore avenues for growth, CSX officials said in a press release.
Speakers included CSX President and CEO Joe Hinrichs, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Boone and Senior Vice President of Network Operations and Service Design Casey Albright. Bascome Majors from Susquehanna International Group also shared his industry expertise as a guest speaker.
Participants had the opportunity to attend market breakout sessions led by six CSX business units, interact with 20CSX departments at a trade show, and engage in speed-networking sessions with CSX and short line representatives.
