CSX named a Forbes Net Zero Leader for second year

CSX has been named to the Forbes Net Zero Leaders list for the second consecutive year.

The list recognizes 100 companies that are making significant strides in mitigating or offsetting pollution from their own activities, as well as those of their suppliers and customers, according to a CSX news release.

The list of companies includes U.S. public organizations with a market valuation of at least $1 billion.

To create the list, Forbes evaluated such factors as each company's climate governance, strategy and risk management capabilities, and how their financial health and competitive edge enable them to overcome industry challenges and economic downturns.

“This recognition is a testament to the effort our entire team is putting forth in adopting innovative technologies and operating practices that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance fuel efficiency, and promote sustainable supply chain operations," said Bryan Tucker, CSX's vice president of stakeholder engagement and sustainability.
