CSX Corp. announced yesterday that it will host its investor and analyst conference March 1 at the InterContinental New York Barclay in New New York City.

CSX President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Foote and members of the senior management team will outline how the precision scheduled railroading model will "positively transform CSX's operations, improve customer service and drive long-term value creation for shareholders," company officials said in a press release.

Analysts and investors can obtain additional information about the conference by visiting investors.csx.com. Management's conference presentations will be webcast.

Last fall, CSX postponed its investor conference — originally slated for Oct. 30, 2017 — after three top executives left the company and then-President and CEO E. Hunter Harrison brought in Foote as chief operating officer.

Last month, Harrison died of unexpected complications of an illness, and Foote was named president and CEO.

Earlier this week, the Class I named former CN executive Edmond Harris as CSX's new executive vice president of operations.
