CSX selling rail lines in Alabama, Georgia

CSX Corp. is in the process of selling 176 miles of rail lines in Alabama and Georgia to HGS Railway Holdings Inc., according to a notice filed with the Surface Transportation Board.
Once acquired, the rail lines will be operated by HGS subsidiaries HGS-ATN and HGS-FCR as Class III railroads.
HGS-ATN is acquiring 121 miles in Alabama, which will be leased to Alabama & Tennessee River Railway LLC.
HGS-FCR is acquiring 55 miles in Atlanta, which will be leased to Fulton County Railway LLC.
