MercuryGate links with CSX's RailPlus

MercuryGate International Inc. has formed an integration partnership with RailPlus, CSX's door-to-door intermodal service.

The arrangement allows MercuryGate clients to access ShipCSX, the Class I's online booking tool, through their transportation management system, said MercuryGate officials in a press release.

"By providing a seamless connection to ShipCSX, we are making it easier for customers to access intermodal rail capacity," said Monica Wooden, MercuryGate's chief executive officer and co-founder.

A web-based portal, ShipCSX assists customers in planning, shipping and paying for intermodal shipments.

"Our goal with the RailPlus product is to provide customers a seamless and effortless experience through better technology, tools and service," said Parker McCrary, director of product development at CSX. "The ability to quickly access intermodal rates and cover loads within MercuryGate's [transportation management system] will help our customers grow their bottom line."
