The Railway Association of Canada (RAC) announced Monday the creation of the Parliamentary Rail Caucus, which will be chaired by Sherry Romanado, a member of the Canadian Parliament for Longueuil-Charles-LeMoyne.The caucus will provide a platform for discussion of policy issues and will aim to encourage a dialogue between railroads and parliamentarians of all political leanings, RAC officials said in a press release.In addition, the caucus will serve to inform members of the role that railroads play in Canada's economy. Marilyn Gladu, a member of the Canadian Parliament for Sarnia-Lambton, will co-chair the caucus. Its first meeting will be held March 9.
