The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) is seeking to fill nearly 100 vacancies across the United States, including positions related to the federal positive train control (PTC) mandate.Nearly 20 percent of the open positions are in the signal and train control discipline, which will bolster the FRA's ability to administer the PTC mandate "in a timely and efficient manner," FRA officials said in an email.For more information about the job vacancies, go to usajobs.gov.Since January, FRA leadership has held meetings with executives of the 41 railroads required to implement PTC. FRA leaders also have begun meetings with PTC suppliers and vendors to learn more about their capacity to meet PTC implementation demands.
