The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has published a request for information (RFI) to receive public input on possible improvements to the evaluation process for projects seeking funding from the Capital Investment Grants (CIG) Program.
Transit stakeholder input is critically important in identifying evaluation measures and data sources that can better capture the benefits and costs of transit and how the CIG program can facilitate outcomes that maximize those benefits for the transit community, FTA officials said in a news release. Comments should be submitted on or before October 13, 2021.
The FTA also announced an RFI to receive public input on data and information available to inform FTA's identification of high-priority safety concerns relevant to the transit industry.
The input is being sought to identify and proactively mitigate safety concerns impacting the transit community, according to a release. Comments are requested by Aug. 16.
