House hearing to review rail safety regulations

The House Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials will hold a hearing tomorrow to review railroad, pipeline, and hazardous materials safety regulations and potential reforms.

U.S. Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.), who chairs the subcommittee, will oversee the hearing.

Among those scheduled to testify are Linda Darr, president of the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association; Roger Nober, executive vice president of law and corporate affairs at BNSF Railway Co.; and John Tolman, vice president and national legislative representative of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET).

The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern time and will be live-streamed through the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure's website.
