On April 21, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the Southeast High Speed Rail Business Opportunity Workshop at Koury Convention Center in Greensboro. The event will educate the business community about stimulus-funded high-speed rail projects, as well as highlight contracting opportunities, proposed approaches for delivery and preliminary project schedules.

The event will feature high-profile speakers from railroad companies, and the state and federal governments.

Who should attend? Railroad and highway construction firms, professional engineers, minority and women business owners, rail companies, local government representatives and chambers of commerce, NCDOT says.

The department received $545 million in high-speed intercity passenger-rail funding to design and construct several elements of the state’s proposed Southeast High Speed Rail project.

The registration deadline for the workshop is April 16. For more information, follow this link.
