On July 15, the House approved the FY2012 Energy and Water Appropriations bill, which includes a provision that would rescind $1 billion in unobligated High-Speed Intercity Passenger Rail funds and use them for Mississippi River and Missouri River flood relief.

If the Senate also rescinds the funds in its version of the FY12 energy/water measure, dozens of high-speed rail projects would be affected. For a round-up of the projects that would be impacted, click here.
