California governor appoints Richards to CHSRA board

Last week, California Gov. Jerry Brown appointed Dan Richards to the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s board.
A principal with Dan Richards Advisors since 2010, he previously was managing partner and co-founder of infrastructure financing firm Heritage Oak Capital Partners. Richards also has served as senior vice president of public policy and governmental relations at Pacific Gas and Electric Co.; principal at Morse, Richard, Weisenmiller & Associates; VP of Independent Power Corp.; deputy legal affairs secretary for Gov. Brown during Brown’s previous stint as governor; and assistant to the deputy associate administrator for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
From 1992 to 2004, Richards served on the Bay Area Rapid Transit Board, including two terms as president.
