Brightline marks highlights of 2023

Brightline cited inaugurating service between Orlando and Miami, Florida, and claiming the title of fastest train in the Southeast as some of the private high-speed train company's top moments of 2023.

Other highlights this year included serving more than 5 million passengers and hosting U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Brightline officials said in a news release.

And there's more to come. Next year will include the unveiling of a location for the Treasure Coast Station and the commencement of its construction, Brightline officials said.

Brightline West is also set to break ground in early 2024 on a project to build a high-speed rail line between Southern California and Las Vegas. The line will run with fully electric trains.
