All Aboard Florida contracts AMEC for engineering services

All Aboard Florida has selected environmental engineering firm AMEC Environment & Infrastructure Inc. to oversee design planning, and environmental compliance and permitting efforts for a proposed Orlando-to-Miami passenger-rail system.
The 230-mile system is being developed by Florida East Coast Industries, which is seeking to build the $1 billion privately owned, operated and maintained line.
