Alstom unveils new high-speed train

Alstom announced a new model of “very high speed” train at EXPO Ferroviaria, which is being held this week in Turin, Italy.
The high-capacity, single-deck train is designed to reach a maximum speed of 248 mph, Alstom officials said in a prepared statement.
The company aims to sell the train worldwide and has submitted a bid to supply 50 of them to Italy’s Trenitalia.
